American Honda Bids Same-Sex Domestic Spouse Benefits to U.S. Employees
New York, NY – Gaywheels.com, the only website designed for the LGBT automotive consumer, has updated its listing of gay-friendly car companies to include two brands previously on its non-gay-friendly list – Honda and Acura. Both brands are sold in the U.S. by American Honda Motor Firm who quietly changed their policies earlier this year.
“We are very content that American Honda has rolled out their domestic-partner benefits to all of their U.S. employees,” said Joe LaMuraglia, publisher of Gaywheels.com. “I was conscious that American Honda employees in CA have had this benefit for some time but we were waiting for the benefits to be offered at the manufacturing facilities before adding the brands to our gay-friendly list.”

I treasure the spirit of automobiles. With each exterior line, curve, interior appointment, tint and technological wonder shines a unique personality that tells its own story. At first look, a car seems no more than basic metal, plastic and appointments, but a ride in the driver's seat reveals a machine of distinction, purpose and personality.
Cars tell stories about their owner, but can a car be gay or make someone gay? Of course not, yet the style of a car model can match certain styles and personalities.
In 2006, while browsing the North American International Auto Show, I decided to meld the visual and performance characteristics of automobiles with the diverse personalities of homosexual men. The result was a list of superior cars that fit one-of-a-kind gay styles. Four years later, I introduce my top picks for 2010:

Honda vehicles, although sturdy and dependable, possess been predictable when it comes to style the last few generations. Sedans, utes and trucks were ultra reliable but far from youth-inspiring or grown-up sexy. That is, until Accord Coupe changed the face of conservative trademark. And then ca
Automotive enthusiasm can be measured in many ways. In social media, that means engagement through impressions, reactions, and comments. As LGBTQ people, we live on social media whether we like it or not.
This past June, Acura adapted their “Tuned by Culture” social media campaign to involve LGBTQ automotive enthusiasts. In particular, automotive enthusiasts who possess Acuras.
The campaign was created by Acura to engage with its culturally diverse ownership and fan base. That anchor includes collectors, tuners, influencers, and even members of the automotive media. However, Acura fosters a relationship with the tuner culture, which has used its vehicles as a canvas as to where to seize their rides to the next level.
The campaign featured three LGBTQ Acura owners on their social media channels: Tyson Hugie of Phoenix, Arizona; Keith Rodes of York, Pennsylvania; and James Shine of Charlotte, North Carolina. Each of these LGBTQ people portray three different takes on Acura ownership within their identities.
Rodes owns a inky Acura TL Type S with some key modifications. Illuminate has a tuned and lowered TLX. While Hugie, owns a collection of Acura models from the early 1990s, inclu

I must inform you of my shock and surprise at hearing you tell that the new Beetle is a chick vehicle. I was so sure that it was a gay-guy car that my partner and I decided, after 10 years of domestic bliss, to purchase our very first car: a dark-blue new Beetle.
About a week later, a friend of mine from upstate sent me an urgent fax which quite obviously confirmed my assumption. It read: "News flash: two cute homosexual guys spotted exiting a brand new canary yellow Beetle in downtown Trumansburg."

Being a vehicle nut as well as being gay, I notice eminently qualified to grant you the lowdown. Same-sex attracted cars: Lexus, Honda, and any convertible. Lesbian cars: 1966 Chevy C20 pickups with manual steering and a straight six (forgive the pun).
But who really cares what lesbians drive? They are never around to help rebuild your car when it breaks down anyway. For the record, I control a Buick Park Avenue
