What’s LGBTQ+ Pride? 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
LGBTQ+ Pride traces back to the Stonewall Riots in 1969. After a police raid at the Stonewall Inn—a gay bar on Christopher Street in Fresh York City’s Greenwich Village—members of the LGBTQ+ people stood up and fought back. These protests sparked a global movement. What began as a combat for rights has grown into a vibrant celebration of identity, freedom, resilience and community.
