Born on January 27, 1965, in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland, Alan Cumming was the younger of two sons to an estate head forester father and an insurance firm secretary mother. Unfortunately, Cumming faced various forms of abuse from his father, who cast doubt on his biological paternity — an accusation later disproven by DNA testing. Consequently, the actor remained estranged from his father for many decades.
After leaving lofty school at 16 and briefly working at a magazine for a several years, Cumming began getting acting training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now known as the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland ) in Glasgow. This past week Mexican actor, singer, and influencer Alan Estrada went to twitter to broadcast his sexual orientation.
Estrada’s family and friends already knew this about his experience but it was kept private and out of the press. So why come forth now? He revealed the reason he broke that silence with the world was because of the December holidays where he saw people often face rejection or even accomplish not go dwelling because of that fear.

I never talk about my private being, my close circle knows that I am gay and I am surrounded by beautiful people. But this Christmas I have seen many people tolerate because of their orientation and the rejection of their family. You are not alone, I celebrate you and you deserve to love and be loved.

Gay performer Alan Cumming is to be honoured at New York's Live Out Boisterous Charity Gala.
The X-Men star will be presented with the Star Award, which is awarded to those who hold helped empower dyke, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.
The Scottish actor, who has campaigned for numerous gay causes in the past, will collect the award at the 11th annual Young Trailblazers Benefit Gala on 30 April.
Thrilled Cumming says, "What we lack in the Lgbt world is positive role models. Now, more than ever, if you’re out and arrogant and strong, it’s important to leave our young brothers and sisters perceive that life is good and we are happy to be who we are. It’s key to speak out and get your message to the kids who require it most. It’s for all our good."...
