FOXBORO – Dante Wesley’s choice of film in suburban Chicago on Monday darkness was fitting, because his career was about to undergo a transformation.
He and his family were engrossed in the battle of Autobots vs. Decepticons when the summon came that he had been traded to the Patriots for an undisclosed draft choice.
“I had my wife and kids out at the movies watching ‘Transformers,’ ” Wesley said yesterday after his first full practice with the Pats. “I got a name (saying) that Unused England was going to pick me up and I had to receive on the first flight the next morning. I flew on out here, took a physical, came out in the middle of practice, and they suited me up. Man, it’s astonishing what can come about in 24 hours.”
That’s certainly correct for Wesley, who had been told he was either going to be released or traded by the cornerback-rich Bears, who brag Nathan Vasher, Charles Tillman and Ricky Manning Jr. at the position.
“It was frustrating because I felt prefer I was a great player and I wanted to be a part of that defense,” he said. “When they paid those guys and gave them that type of money, I had a meaning of that’s who they wanted to be with.”

TWO brand-new Gladiators have officially joined the reveal, with there now 18 in the team of sturdy men and women.
The new Gladiators are esteemed athletes called Cyclone and Hammer, and behind their stage names, their real names are Lystus Ebosele and Tom Wilson.

Announced on The One Present last night, returning Gladiator, Legend, distributed his thoughts on the two fresh stars joining the programme.
When asked by Alex Jones what it was like to acquire two newbies, Legend jokingly said: "It felt fine. For me, personally, you can never possess too many assistants.
"Do you know what I mean? You need people. I've got a lot of stuff to carry, you grasp what I mean?
"Like water, snacks, protein, so, for me, it's quite useful actually, yeah."
Newcomer Lystus, who is 23 years of age, is a classic powerlifter who represents Ireland.
