DaBaby has come under conflagration for homophobic remarks he made while on stage at the Rolling Raucous Miami music festival over the weekend.
The Charlotte, North Carolina, performer—whose given designate is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk—is facing criticism for making disparaging comments about homosexual people and people living with HIV/AIDS.
Video footage at the show shows the 29-year-old rapper saying the following remarks.
"If you didn't show up today with HIV, AIDS, any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that'll make you die in two or three weeks, put your cellphone light in the air."
"Ladies, if your p**** smell like water, lay your cellphone light in the air. Fellas, if you ain't suck a n**** d*** in the parking lot, put your cellphone lights in the air. Keep it f****** real."
Among those criticizing DaBaby include RuPaul's Drag Race star Trinity K. Bonet who tweeted: "Hey @DaBabyDaBaby undetectable = untrabnsmittable ... U = U ...that will educate you on at-least one of them dumb a** comments you made.."
While Twitch streamer Hasan Piker added: "dababy's throwing out 90s era homophobia daBOOMER."

He tweeted last night that his comments were "insensitive" adding he had "no intentions [of] offending anybody" before offering "my apologies".
The rapper has now been dropped by online fashion retailer Boohoo, who he had a clothing deal with.
It comes after Dua Lipa, whose song Levitating he features on, said she was "surprised and horrified" by his words.
"Anybody who done ever been [affected] by AIDS/HIV y'all got the right to be upset," DaBaby said.
He also addressed the LGBT community in his tweet saying "I ain't trippin on y'all, do you. y'all business is y'all business."

Rapper DaBaby has responded after he was criticised for making seemingly homophobic comments at a Miami gig.

He also targeted gay men in references to other sexual activities, asking those who did not grab part in them to "put your cellphone light up".
DaBaby's words at the Rolling Loud Miami festival were condemned by social media users as homophobic, but the rapper, real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, appeared to double-down in a lengthy Instagram response.
He said across 19 videos: "What I do at a live demonstrate is for the audience at the live show.
"It'll never translate correctly to somebody looking at a little five, six-second clip from their goddamn crib on their cell. It just don't work like that.

Rapper DaBaby apologises for homophobic comments at gig - 'I needed education'
Rapper DaBaby has apologised after comments he made about HIV-positive people and gay men saw him widely criticised and kicked off festival line-ups.
At the Rolling Blaring Miami festival, held between 23 July and 25 July, the 29-year-old - real name Jonathan Kirk - told audience members to put their smartphone lights in the gas - unless they were HIV-positive or were homosexual men who performed sex acts in car parks.
As well as seemingly singling out those living with the virus, DaBaby also incorrectly asserted that it will "make you pass away in two or three weeks".
Now, in a upload on his Instagram page more than a week later, the musician has apologised - and emphasised the importance of existence "educated".
He said: "Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and understand from your mistakes.
"As a man who has had to make his have way from very hard circumstances, having people I know publicly working against me - knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance - has been challenging.
