Welcome to my new blogging series: Lesbian Hobbies. Here, I blog about all lesbian hobbies. I share my lesbian hobby tips. I try womxn loving womxn hobbies I’ve never tried before. Hamburg is an open and welcoming city for LGBTQIA+ communities, and hobbies, clubs and organisations are no exception. Still, it can be fun to just get to comprehend people from your community while taking part in a hobby you adore. So, if you're looking to create some LGBTQIA+ connections, why not verify out some of these sport and and hobby organisations.   

Sporty types can receive their move on at Startschuss Hamburg. This long-standing LGBTQIA+ sports club has around 650 members, and hosts a wide variety of groups and teams playing everything from football, badminton, volleyball and table tennis to sailing and rowing. And they're quite successful too: several Startschuss groups compete in high level tournaments.

Always had a fascination with trains? Get on board and equip to meet fellow enthusiasts at Hamburg’s very own homosexual train club Schwule Eisenbahnfreunde. Almost everyone finds meeting modern people as an grown-up incredibly difficult — especially in an age of remote work and in the waning days of a global pandemic, it can be very hard to stumble across fresh people in person and form organic relationships. Where my search for lgbtq+ spaces in Singapore led me

It is my third week of junior college and I am seated along a long table in the crowded educational facility canteen, squeezed shoulder-to-shoulder with my new theatre classmates. At the far conclude, two of my unused friends converse loudly and unabashedly about the trials and tribulations of secondary school crushes. There are discussions of unrequited devote and the things they have done to impress enigmatic school seniors. Both my friends have arrive from single-gender secondary schools. No one bats an eyelid. I stay calm and focus on finishing my lunch, but on the inside, I’m amazed. How are people so comfortable in their queerness?

The theatre was the first space I found myself in after I realised I was queer. Within a year, I went from barely being fit to acknowledge my culture to being entirely easy in my own skin. Without looking for it, I had stumbled into a safe space.
