Colorado Frontrunners is a running and walking club for the LGBTQ community and their friends, and is one of more than 100 International Frontrunners clubs around the world.
Please join us for our weekly runs and walks in Denver or Boulder. Seasonally, you can find us running trails at various locations throughout the Front Range. We also meet for Happy Hour on the first Friday of each month.
Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome. It's a great way to get active, stand healthy and produce friends.
Where: In front of Dora Moore Elementary School at 9th Ave. and Downing St., across from King Soopers.
When: Saturday mornings at 9:15 am, rain, snow, or shine.
Course: Runners head to Washington Park via Marion Street, circle the park, and return (~6 miles). Walkers head to Cheesman Park for a brisk stroll 2 times around the edge (~3.2 miles).
After: We assemble for coffee, snacks, and great conversations at Buzz Cafe at Marion and 6th about 10:30am. Even if you don't run or walk, join us!

Academic advising is the foundation of a successful college life. The Academic Success and Advising Center (ASAC) assists students in the progress of meaningful educational plans. This office serves as the first point of contact for students who are pre-architecture, pre-business, pre-engineering, undecided in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as well as all freshmen and undecided in the College of Arts & Media. Students assigned to ASAC come across with an advisor every semester to plan a schedule, and discuss academic support services. The center provides general information and resource referrals to all students.

About Us
Who We Are
The LGBTQ Student Resource Center is a tri-institutional office serving students at Metropolitan State University of Denver, Community College of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver. We are a resource for those seeking facts and/or support comparable to gender culture, sexual orientation, love-related orientation, and/or similar experiences. We are a community for all.
Since its founding in 1992 as Colorado’s first campus LGBTQ+ support corporation, the LGBTQ Trainee Resource Center has fostered acceptance, comprehending, and personal progress through community teaching, engagement, and help services.
The LGBTQ Learner Resource Center is located in the Tivoli Student Union, Room 213. Our business hours are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During these times visitors can browse the more than 2,000 books and videos in our library, ask about development programs, seek additional resources or just relax in our social space.

Why did you gravitate to nursing?
Both of my siblings are in healthcare. One of my sisters used to teach in a prominent university in the Philippines, and the other worked as a nurse. Growing up, I saw how passionate they were with their careers and it really inspired me to pursue a degree in healthcare as well. At the time, I was not sure what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to be in a caring profession. As I grew older, I realized that nursing is in line with my personal and professional goals. I also liked the flexibility of nursing.
You said in a recent podcast that there’s a dearth of research in clinical practices for the LGBTQ+ society. At what point did you realize that should become your research emphasis?
There have been so many people in the LGBTQ+ community who contain inspired me and made me realize I possess the agency to be who I am, who I want to be, and to live my truth.
